Do’s

  • Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start using Diprosone Cream each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your healthcare provider.
  • Use Diprosone Cream on the skin only.
  • Wash and dry your hands before applying the cream. Clean and dry the affected area before applying a thin film of the cream to the affected area and gently rub in as directed by your healthcare provider, usually 1 to 2 times daily.
  • After applying the cream, wash your hands unless you are using it to treat the hands.
  • Use Diprosone Cream only for the condition for which it was prescribed.
  • Inform your healthcare provider if your condition lasts or gets worse after 2 weeks.

Don’ts

  • Do not use Diprosone Cream on the face, groin, or underarms or for diaper rash unless directed to do so by your healthcare provider.
  • Do not cover, bandage, or wrap the treated area unless directed to do so by your healthcare provider.
  • When applying the cream near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes as this may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting the cream in the nose or mouth. If you get it in these areas, rinse with plenty of water.
  • Do not use Diprosone Cream for longer than prescribed.

  • Burning sensation, irritation, itching, or dryness at the application site

These side effects may occur at the initial phase and subside as the body adjusts to the medication. If these side effects continue to bother you, consult your healthcare provider for further guidance and advice.
