Cordarone (Amiodarone) is used to treat certain types of serious and potentially fatal irregular heartbeats, such as recurrent ventricular fibrillation/tachycardia. It is employed to restore normal heart rhythm and maintain a regular, steady heartbeat.

Amiodarone, known as an anti-arrhythmic drug, works by blocking certain electrical signals in the heart that can cause an irregular heartbeat.

Amiodarone is a complex antiarrhythmic agent with multiple electrophysiologic effects, unusual pharmacokinetics, and numerous potentially harmful drug interactions and adverse effects.
