Priligy (Dapoxetine)

Do’s

• Take it as prescribed. This means only taking one dose per 24 hours, and only when expecting sexual activity. Don't take it daily.
• Talk to your healthcare provider about any pre-existing conditions or medications you're taking. Priligy can interact with some meds.
• Be aware of side effects. Dizziness, fainting, nausea, and headaches are common. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how Priligy affects you.
• Follow up with your healthcare provider. Schedule check-ins after the initial treatment period (around 4 weeks or 6 doses) and at least every 6 months after if treatment continues.

Don'ts

• Don't take more than prescribed. Exceeding the recommended dose won't make it work better and can increase side effects.
• Don't take alcohol or recreational drugs. This can worsen side effects.
• Don't take it if you're under 18 or over 65. Priligy is not recommended for these age groups.
• Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet to prevent a bitter taste. Take it with a full glass of water. Swallow whole: 

Common side effects:

• Nausea
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Feeling sick
• Feeling anxious, irritable, restless, or agitated
• Difficulty concentrating
• Blurred vision
• Feeling tired or sleepy
• Yawning
• Tremor
• Pins and needles or tingling sensations
• Ringing or other noise in the ears (tinnitus)
• Excessive sweating
• Flushing
• Difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
• Abnormal dreams
• Reduced sex drive
• Problems getting an erection (erectile dysfunction)
• Sinus congestion

Serious side effects:

• Changes in mood, including thoughts of harming oneself or suicide
• Seizures or fits

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Priligy,  contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Priligy can increase the risk of fainting, especially when combined with alcohol or certain medications. If you have a history of depression or other mental health conditions, discuss Priligy with your healthcare provider cautiously. It may worsen these conditions.

There's a rare possibility of seizures with Priligy use. Talk to your healthcare provider if you have a history of seizures.

Priligy may affect heart rhythm in some individuals. If you have heart issues, consult your healthcare provider before using it.

Dizziness is a potential side effect. Avoid activities like Driving and operating machinery that require alertness until you know how Priligy affects you.

Priligy can interact with other medications, including antidepressants, antifungals, and some heart medications. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you take.

Grapefruit juice can increase Priligy levels in your body, potentially leading to side effects. Avoid it while using Priligy.

If you have liver or kidney problems, Priligy may not be suitable. Discuss this with your healthcare provider.

Priligy is not recommended for men under 18 or over 64.
