Adcirca (Tadalafil)

Do’s

• Take Adcirca by mouth, as directed by your healthcare provider, to treat high blood pressure in the lungs.
• Take it once daily, with or without food.
• Shake the liquid form well for 30 seconds before each dose.
• Measure the liquid dose carefully using the provided measuring device/spoon, not a household spoon.
• Take Adcirca regularly for maximum benefit.
• Take it at the same time each day to aid memory.
• Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you take (prescription, non-prescription, herbal)
• Tell your healthcare provider if your condition doesn't improve or worsens.

Don’ts

• Don't take Adcirca in a different way than prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Don't change your dose or stop taking Adcirca without consulting your healthcare provider.
• Don't use a household spoon to measure the liquid form of Adcirca.
• Don't skip doses of Adcirca.
• Don't take more Adcirca than prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Don't adjust the dosage or stop taking it without consulting them first.

Common side effects of Adcirca may include:

• Headache
• Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling)
• Nasal congestion (blocked nose)
• Upset stomach or dyspepsia
• Back pain
• Muscle aches or myalgia
• Nausea
• Limb pain
• Pain in the extremities
• Indigestion or abdominal pain
• Runny or stuffy nose

Serious side effects of Adcirca:

• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
• Heart attack symptoms, including chest pain or pressure, pain spreading to the jaw or shoulder, nausea, or sweating
• Vision changes or sudden vision loss
• Ringing in the ears or sudden hearing loss
• Painful or prolonged erection lasting longer than 4 hours (priapism)
• Nausea, chest pain, or dizziness during sexual activity, which could indicate a life-threatening side effect

Adcirca interacts with certain medications. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you take, including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

Certain health conditions can affect how Adcirca works. Tell your healthcare provider about any underlying health issues you have, including liver or kidney problems, or a history of fainting.

Adcirca may cause side effects. Common side effects include headache, muscle aches, back pain, flushing, and dizziness. If you experience any side effects, talk to your healthcare provider.

Adcirca can harm an unborn baby. Do not take it if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Discuss birth control options with your healthcare provider.

It's unknown if Adcirca passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding while taking Adcirca.

Adcirca may cause dizziness or fainting. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.

Grapefruit juice can increase the amount of Adcirca in your bloodstream, potentially leading to side effects. Avoid grapefruit juice while taking Adcirca.
