Dibenzyline (Phenoxybenzamine) is used to treat high blood pressure and heavy sweating due to a certain tumor of the adrenal glands known as pheochromocytoma.

Phenoxybenzamine, the active ingredient in Dibenzyline, belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha-blockers. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, facilitating easier blood flow.

Do’s

Danocrine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities requiring alertness until you can perform them safely.

Limit alcohol consumption and discuss marijuana use with your healthcare provider as they can worsen dizziness.

Inform your healthcare provider about danocrine use before any surgery, including eye surgeries for cataracts or glaucoma.

Older adults may experience increased dizziness with danocrine, raising the risk of falls.

Danocrine should only be used during pregnancy if absolutely necessary. Discuss risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.
