Zyclara Cream Pump (Imiquimod)

Do’s:

• Use Zyclara only on your skin, as directed by your healthcare provider.
• Apply it once daily for 2 weeks, followed by a 2-week rest period, then another 2 weeks of daily application.
• Wash your hands and the treatment area with soap and water before applying Zyclara.
• Apply the cream at bedtime and leave it on for 8 hours. Wash the treated area in the morning.
• Use a new packet of cream for each application and discard any leftover medication.
• Inform your healthcare provider if your condition worsens or new growths appear during treatment.

Don'ts:

• Don't apply Zyclara to your eyes, nose, mouth, rectum, or vagina. Rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs.
• Don't use more Zyclara or leave it on longer than prescribed.
• Don't cover the treated area with bandages or waterproof dressings.
• Don't bathe or wet the treated area before the prescribed application time.
• Don't use Zyclara if the pump isn't primed (for pump applicator) or the packet is damaged.

Common Side Effects:

• Local skin reactions include redness, scabbing, crusting, flaking, scaling, dryness, and swelling in the area where the cream is applied.

Serious Side Effects:

• Allergic reactions such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
• Severe itching
• Burning
• Oozin
• Bleeding
• Skin changes where the medicine was applied.
• Genital warts treatment
• Flu-like symptoms such as fever, chills, body aches, tiredness, or swollen glands while using Zyclara cream pump.

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Zyclara cream pump, contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Disclose any allergies to imiquimod or any ingredients in the cream.

Zyclara may cause dizziness. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities requiring alertness until the effects subside. Alcohol or marijuana can worsen dizziness. Limit alcohol intake and discuss marijuana use with your healthcare provider.

Zyclara increases sun sensitivity. Limit sun exposure, avoid tanning booths/sunlamps, use sunscreen, and wear protective clothing outdoors. Avoid applying to sunburned skin. Report any sunburn or skin reactions to your healthcare provider.

Inform your healthcare provider about all medications (prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal) before surgery.

Zyclara should only be used during pregnancy if clearly necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider. It is unknown if Zyclara passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding.
