Zyclara cream pump, also known as Imiquimod, is a medication primarily used to treat actinic keratoses (AK). Actinic keratoses are precancerous growths that appear on the skin due to excessive sun exposure. By treating this condition, the risk of complications can be significantly reduced.

Imiquimod belongs to a class of drugs called immune response modifiers. It is believed to work by stimulating and enhancing the body's immune system to fight against these abnormal skin growths. By activating the immune response, Imiquimod helps the body's natural defense mechanisms to target and eliminate the precancerous cells.

The use of Zyclara cream pump offers several benefits in the treatment of actinic keratoses. By applying the cream directly to the affected areas, it allows for targeted therapy. This localized treatment approach minimizes the potential side effects that may occur when using systemic medications.
