ProAmatine is utilized for individuals experiencing symptoms of low blood pressure upon standing, a condition known as orthostatic hypotension.

This medication is specifically intended for patients whose daily activities are significantly impacted by this condition, even after employing other treatments such as support stockings.

The active ingredient in ProAmatine, midodrine, is classified as a sympathomimetic (alpha receptor agonist). It exerts its effects on the blood vessels, working to raise blood pressure in individuals affected by orthostatic hypotension. By acting on the alpha receptors, midodrine aims to improve blood pressure regulation and alleviate symptoms associated with orthostatic hypotension.
