Do’s

• Read the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist before you start using Naprosyn EC and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your healthcare provider.
• The dosage of Naprosyn EC is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Take this medication at the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time to reduce the risk of side effects. 
• Take Naprosyn EC by mouth as directed by your healthcare provider, usually twice daily with or without food. Make sure to swallow the medication whole.
• Take this medication with a full glass of water (8 ounces/240 milliliters) unless your healthcare provider directs you otherwise.
• For ongoing conditions such as arthritis, continue taking Naprosyn EC as directed by your healthcare provider. It may take up to two weeks of regular use for you to experience the full benefit of the medication.
• To reduce the risk of stomach bleeding and other side effects, take Naprosyn EC with food, milk, or an antacid. If you have any concerns or questions about taking Naprosyn EC, consult your healthcare provider.
• If you are using other medications or have any changes in weight, inform your healthcare provider. They can provide guidance on any potential interactions or adjustments to your dosage.

Don’ts

• Do not increase your dose or take this medication more often than directed.
• Do not break, crush, or chew the tablets, as doing so can cause the drug to be released too quickly, which may increase the likelihood of experiencing side effects. 
• Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this medication.

• Gastrointestinal effects, such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, and diarrhea
• Cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke
• Allergic reactions, which can manifest as rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing
• Kidney problems, including decreased kidney function or kidney failure
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Drowsiness
• Ringing in the ears
• Blurred vision
• Fluid retention
