Mavik (Trandolapril) is utilized for the management of high blood pressure, with the primary aim of lowering blood pressure to help prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of heart failure and to enhance survival after a heart attack.

Trandolapril, as an ACE inhibitor, belongs to a class of drugs that works by relaxing blood vessels, thereby facilitating smoother blood flow. This mechanism is pivotal in addressing high blood pressure and improving cardiac function in heart failure and post-heart attack scenarios.

The medication's scope covers not only the management of high blood pressure but also extends to the treatment of heart failure and the enhancement of post-heart attack survival. This comprehensive application underscores the versatility and efficacy of Trandolapril in cardiovascular conditions.
