Lidex Solution is a topical medication used to treat various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, allergies, and rash. 

It contains the active ingredient fluocinonide, which is a corticosteroid. Fluocinonide works by reducing swelling, redness, itching, and allergic reactions in the skin

Do’s

  • Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before and after applying the solution, unless treating your hands.
  • Clean and dry the affected skin area where you will be applying the solution.
  • Apply a thin layer of the solution to the affected area.
  • Gently rub the solution into the skin.
  • Apply the solution as directed by your healthcare provider, typically 2-4 times daily depending on the severity of your condition.
  • Be careful not to get Lidex solution in your eyes, mouth, or nose. Rinse thoroughly with water if accidental contact occurs.

Don'ts

  • Avoid applying Lidex solution to your face, groin, or underarms unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.
  • Don't use more solutions than recommended or for longer than prescribed.

It is unknown if the medication passes into breast milk when applied to the skin, but similar medications taken orally can enter breast milk.
