Do's

Follow your healthcare provider's instructions: This includes taking the correct dosage, at the prescribed intervals, and for the duration of treatment recommended by your healthcare provider.

Take Aceon Plus Tablets with a full glass of water.

Swallow the tablets whole. Do not crush, chew, or break them. This can alter the way the medication is released in your body.

Be aware of side effects: Some common side effects of Aceon Plus include dizziness, headache, fatigue, and low potassium levels. If you experience any side effects, consult your healthcare provider to see if an adjustment to your dosage is needed.

Don'ts

Do not take Aceon Plus Tablets if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

Do not take Aceon Plus Tablets if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Aceon Plus can cause serious harm to an unborn baby.

Do not take Aceon Plus Tablets with alcohol or grapefruit juice. These substances can interact with Aceon Plus and increase your risk of side effects.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage of Aceon Plus Tablets. Taking too much Aceon Plus can lead to dangerously low blood pressure.

Do not stop taking Aceon Plus Tablets without consulting your healthcare provider. Suddenly stopping this medication can cause your blood pressure to rebound.

Common Side Effects:

Headaches

Dry cough

Nausea

Vomiting

Diarrhea

Dizziness or light-headedness

Fatigue

Serious Side Effects:

Allergic reactions (such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat)

Liver problems (symptoms may include nausea/vomiting that doesn't stop, loss of appetite, stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes)

Severe side effects:

Difficulty breathing or swallowing

Chest pain or tightness

Rapid or irregular heartbeat

Fainting or feeling lightheaded

Swelling of the hands, ankles, or feet

Unusual bleeding or bruising

Signs of infection (fever, sore throat, persistent cough)

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Aceon plus, contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Inform your healthcare provider if you have allergies to perindopril, other ACE inhibitors, or any ingredients in Aceon Plus.

Discuss any pre-existing conditions with your healthcare provider, especially:

History of allergic reaction causing facial/lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema)

Blood filtering procedures

High blood potassium

Liver disease

Aceon Plus may cause dizziness. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities requiring alertness until you experience the effects. Limit alcohol and marijuana use which can worsen dizziness.

Severe sweating, diarrhea, or vomiting can lead to dehydration and lightheadedness. Inform your healthcare provider if you experience these and drink plenty of fluids unless advised otherwise.

Aceon Plus may increase your potassium. Consult your healthcare provider before using potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium.

Before surgery, disclose all medications (including Aceon Plus) to your healthcare provider.

Be aware of increased risk for side effects like dizziness, high potassium, and rash in older adults.

Do not use Aceon Plus if pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Discuss risks and benefits with your healthcare provider immediately if you become pregnant. Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding as it's unknown if Aceon Plus passes into breast milk.
