Vastarel (trimetazidine) is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of stable angina pectoris in patients who are inadequately controlled or intolerant to first-line therapies.

Vastarel is an anti-ischemic (anti-anginal) medication that helps the heart muscle switch from using energy from fat to using energy from glucose. This mechanism of action helps the heart muscle consume less oxygen and energy, preventing angina pectoris.

  • The recommended dose of Vastarel is one tablet to be taken three times a day during meals.
