Do’s

Take Tekturna by mouth as directed by your healthcare provider, usually once daily. It can be taken with or without food, but choose one way and stick to it for each dose.

The dosage of Tekturna is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Take this medication regularly at the same time each day to get the most benefit from it

Continue taking Tekturna even if you feel well, as most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick. It may take up to 2 weeks before you experience the full benefit of this medication.

Inform your healthcare provider if your condition does not improve or if it worsens (i.e. if your blood pressure readings remain high or increase).

Don’ts

Avoid taking Tekturna with high-fat foods, as they may decrease the drug's absorption by the body.

Do not take Tekturna with fruit juices (such as apple, grapefruit, or orange) as they may also decrease the absorption of the drug.

Common Side Effects:

Serious Side Effects:

• Angioedema, which can cause swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat, arms, legs, or the entire body

If you experience any of these serious symptoms, seek medical help immediately.

Neonatal Adverse Effects:

• Skull hypoplasia
• Anuria
• Hypotension
• Renal failure
• Deat
