Do’s

• Always take Betnesol exactly as your healthcare provider has instructed. 
• The dose of Betnesol will vary depending on the disease, its severity, and your response to the treatment.
• Betnesol tablets can be swallowed whole, but it is recommended to take them as a drink after allowing them to dissolve in a glass of water.
• If you need to take half a tablet, you should break it using the break line on one side of the tablet.
• If you accidentally take too much Betnesol, immediately contact the nearest hospital casualty department or your healthcare provider.
• If you forget to take a dose, take your next dose at the usual time.
• Always consult your healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication regimen

Don’ts

• Do not exceed the prescribed dose, and do not suddenly stop taking this medication even if you feel better unless instructed by your healthcare provider.
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
• Do not stop taking Betnesol suddenly, as this can lead to various symptoms. 

• Behavioral disturbances
• Abnormal hair growth over the body, especially in women 
• Allergic reactions 
• Increased risk of infection
• Weight gain
• Mood changes 
• Redistribution or accumulation of body fat
• Constipation
• Itching
• Face burning
• Muscle ache
• Swelling
• Skin atrophy
• Irritation
• Allergic contact dermatitis
• Tendon rupture
• Increased appetite

If you are allergic to betamethasone or other steroids or any other medicines, inform your healthcare provider before taking Betnesol.

Betnesol can suppress the immune system, especially at high doses, which may increase the chances of contracting an infection or reduce the body's capacity to fight infection. Therefore, it should not be used if you have any active infections.

Inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of severe depression, bipolar disorder, tuberculosis, glaucoma, muscle wasting due to corticosteroids, heart attack, high blood pressure, diabetes, underactive thyroid gland, stomach or duodenal ulcers, myasthenia gravis, liver, kidney, or heart disease before taking Betnesol.

While taking Betnesol, your healthcare provider may ask you to have regular check-ups to ensure that the medication is working properly and that the dose is appropriate for you.
