Analpram HC Lotion (Pramoxine/HC)

Do’s

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use.
• Wash and dry the affected area with mild soap and water before applying the lotion.
• Gently rub a small amount of the lotion into the affected area and surrounding skin in a thin layer, as directed by your healthcare provider (usually 3-4 times daily).
• Wash your hands immediately after use, unless treating your hands.
• Apply Analpram-HC lotion regularly at the same times each day for optimal benefit.
• If you've been using Analpram-HC for a long time or in high doses, consult your healthcare provider before stopping abruptly. They may recommend gradually reducing the dosage.
• Tell your healthcare provider if your condition doesn't improve or worsens after using Analpram-HC for a while (typically 1-2 weeks).

Don'ts

• Don't get in your eyes, nose, etc. Avoid getting Analpram-HC lotion in your eyes, nose, ears, or mouth. Rinse with clean water immediately if contact occurs.
• Don't cover or apply heat (unless directed): Don't cover the treated area with waterproof bandages or plastic, or apply heat, unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
• Don't use Analpram-HC lotion on large areas of your body or under tight-fitting diapers/plastic pants on infants, as this can increase side effects.
• Don't use more lotion, use it more often, or use it for longer than prescribed by your healthcare provider.

Common side effects:

• Burning, itching, or stinging sensation at the application site
• Mild skin irritation or redness

Serious side effects (rare, but may require medical attention):

• Allergic reactions, such as rash, itching, or swelling at the application site
• Signs of skin infection, such as heat, tenderness, or pus
• Signs of a serious infection, such as a sore throat that doesn't go away or fever
• Changes in skin appearance, such as color or thickness

Inform your healthcare provider if you are allergic to pramoxine, hydrocortisone, or any ingredients in Analpram HC Lotion.

Disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to your healthcare provider before using Analpram HC Lotion, especially:

• Diabetes
• Eye problems
• Infections (especially skin infections)
• Liver disease

Children may be more sensitive to the side effects of Analpram HC Lotion, particularly when used for extended periods. Consult your healthcare provider for specific guidance regarding children.

Analpram HC Lotion should only be used during pregnancy when clearly necessary and not for long periods or in large amounts. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.

It is unknown if pramoxine or hydrocortisone passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding.
