Don't cover or apply heat (unless directed): Don't cover the treated area with waterproof bandages or plastic, or apply heat, unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
Don't use Analpram-HC lotion on large areas of your body or under tight-fitting diapers/plastic pants on infants, as this can increase side effects.
Don't use more lotion, use it more often, or use it for longer than prescribed by your healthcare provider.
Common side effects:
Burning, itching, or stinging sensation at the application site
Mild skin irritation or redness
Serious side effects (rare, but may require medical attention):
Allergic reactions, such as rash, itching, or swelling at the application site
Signs of skin infection, such as heat, tenderness, or pus
