Brilinta Dose: 

Adult Dose for Acute Coronary Syndrome: 

Following a severe coronary syndrome (ACS) episode: 

  • Once-daily 180 mg loading dosage
  • Brilinta 90 mg is taken twice daily orally as a maintenance dose for a year.
  • After a year, the maintenance dosage is 60 mg taken twice a day.

Notes: 

-This medication should be used along with a daily maintenance dose of 75 to 100 mg of aspirin taken once a day orally. 

-This medication outperforms Clopidogrel for at least the first year after ACS.

Adult Dose for Prevention of Atherothrombotic Events: 

Following a severe coronary syndrome (ACS) episode: 

  • Once-daily 180 mg loading dosage
  • 90 mg taken twice daily orally as a maintenance dose for a year.
  • After a year, the maintenance dosage is 60 mg taken twice a day.
