Do’s

• Take Lofibra only as directed by your healthcare provider.
• Lofibra is usually taken once a day. It should be taken with a meal.
• Take this medicine at the same time each day to maintain its effect.
• In addition to taking Lofibra, your healthcare provider may recommend a diet that is low in fat, sugar, and cholesterol. Carefully follow their orders about any special diet. If you have excess body weight, your healthcare provider may advise you to exercise to lose this weight before using this medicine.
• The dose of Lofibra will be different for different patients. Follow your healthcare provider's orders or the directions on the label. The amount of medicine that you take depends on the strength of the medicine. The number of doses you take each day, the time allowed between doses, and the length of time you take the medicine depend on the medical problem for which you are using the medicine.
• If you miss a dose of Lofibra, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Don’ts

• Do not use more of this medication, use it more often, or use it for a longer time than your healthcare provider ordered.
• Avoid drinking alcohol before and during treatment with Lofibra.
• Do take double doses.

What are the active and inactive ingredients in Lofibra tablets?

Active: Lofibra tablets contain fenofibrate as the active ingredient.

Inactive: The inactive ingredients include croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl sulfate, sucrose, crospovidone, povidone, pregelatinized starch, and talc. Additionally, the tablets are colored with agents such as titanium dioxide and various food dyes like FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Red #40, and D&C Red #28, as well as iron oxide pigments. Anticoagulants: Lofibra can enhance the effects of blood thinners such as warfarin, acenocoumarol, and anisindione, potentially increasing the risk of bleeding.

How do I store Lofibra tablets?

Store Lofibra tablets in a closed container at room temperature between 68°F and 77°F (20°C and 25°C). Keep the medication away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Do not store in moist or damp areas, such as bathrooms. Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children. Protect the medication from freezing. For Triglide tablets, which are a specific form of fenofibrate, keep them in their original moisture-protective container until ready to use.
