Storage : This medication should be stored at room temperature. Keep the medication away from heat, light, and children. Do not allow the Kwellada Lotion to freeze. Discard any outdated Kwellada Lotion.

Precaution : Before using this medicine, tell your health care providers about any of the following: if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or breastfeeding; if you are allergic to Kwellada, any medication, preservatives or dyes; if you are taking any prescription or non prescription medication including but not limited to: antidepressants, antipsychotics, anticholinesterases, choloroquine, cyclosporine, imipenem, isoniazid, meperidine, methocarbamol, mycophenolate mofetil, penicillins, pyrimethamine, quinolone antibiotics, radiographic contrast agents, tacrolimus, theophylline, and skin, scalp, or hair preparations such as creams, lotions, ointments, or oil; if you are an excessive alcoholic; if you have a brain tumor, a history of head injuries, HIV infection, liver disease, a history of seizures; if you suddenly stopped the use of sedatives or alcohol; if you have a hypersensitivity towards Kwellada or Lindane; if you have a seizure disorder, or any skin conditions.

Warnings : Patients using Kwellada Lotion should have their sexual partners or family members to also be treated with the Kwellada Lotion because scabies can be passed to others easily through close contact.

Patient Family Information: Before using Kwellada Lotion, wash, rinse, and dry your hands from any lotion, cream, oil, or ointment. You can take a warm bath or shower prior to using Kwellada Lotion. Make sure you dry your skin off thoroughly before apply on the Kwellada Lotion. When applying the Kwellada Lotion, rub on enough lotion to cover the entire skin from neck down. Also rub the soles of your feet and under fingernails (Use a toothbrush to get lotion under the nails if needed. Discard the toothbrush when finished). After applying on the Kwellada Lotion, wear light clothing to not completely cover skin. Leave the lotion on for 8 to 12 hours and then wash off the cream completely and thoroughly. Apply the Kwellada Lotion only once. Do not apply the Kwellada Lotion to premature infants. When applying Kwellada Lotion on someone else, wear vinyl or latex rubber gloves, especially if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Do not use natural latex gloves because the Kwellada Lotion can seep through them. After apply

Contraindication : Do not use the Kwellada Lotion on premature infants. Kwellada Lotion is poisonous if used near the mouth. If swallowed, it can be extremely harmful, even fatal. Do not use more, more often, or for a longer period than directed by your doctor because it will increase your risk of lindane poisoning. Also, do not use Kwellada Lotion on open sores or cuts; it can also increase your risk of lindane poisoning.

Sever Side Effects: Most severe: Muscle cramps; convulsions (seizures); skin rash; dizziness, clumsiness, or unsteadiness; nervousness, restlessness, or irritability; vomiting; fast hearbeat; and skin irritation that was not present before using Kwellada Lotion.

Common Side Effects : Common: Itching.
