Inhibace Plus (Cilazapril/HCTZ)

Do’s

• The usual recommended dose of Inhibace Plus is one tablet taken once a day, with or without food. The specific dose will depend on your response to the medication, as well as your liver and kidney function. 
• Take the medication at the same time each day, preferably in the morning.
• Take the tablet with a glass of water. Swallow the tablets whole.
• The combination of cilazapril and hydrochlorothiazide in Inhibace Plus is intended to make dosing more convenient for individuals who are already taking both medications separately.
• The dose of Inhibace Plus may be influenced by factors such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your healthcare provider has recommended a different dose than the usual one, consult with them before making any changes to your medication regimen.
• If you happen to miss a dose of Inhibace Plus, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. • Inhibace Plus should be stored at room temperature, protected from light and moisture, and kept out of the reach of children

Don’ts

• Do not chew or crush the tablet. 
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. 

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Fatigue or tiredness
• Cough
• Nausea or vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Headache
• Muscle cramps or weakness
• Rash or itching

Not everyone who takes Inhibace Plus will experience these side effects, and they may vary in severity. If you are concerned about any side effects, discuss them with your healthcare provider.

Serious Side Effects:

• Angioedema (a serious allergic reaction that causes swelling of the face, throat, and tongue). If you experience difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, stop taking Inhibace Plus immediately and seek immediate medical attention.

Inhibace Plus may interact with other medications, including nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), potassium-sparing diuretics, lithium, and certain antidiabetic medications. If you are scheduled for surgery, inform your healthcare provider that you are taking Inhibace Plus. The medication may need to be temporarily discontinued before the surgery.
