Aristocort C Cream (Triamcinolone Acetonide)

Do’s

• Use Aristocort R cream exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider, typically applied to the affected skin area 2-4 times daily.
• Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly before applying the cream.
• Apply a thin film of the cream to the affected area and rub it in gently.
• Wash your hands with soap and water after applying the cream, unless treating your hands.
• Avoid getting Aristocort R cream in your nose or mouth. If contact occurs, rinse with plenty of water.

Don'ts

• Don't cover, bandage, or wrap the treated area unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
• Don't use Aristocort R cream for longer than prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Don't make eye contact. Avoid getting Aristocort R cream in your eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Don't use Aristocort R cream for longer than necessary. Inform your healthcare provider if your condition doesn't improve or worsens after a while.
• Don't use Aristocort R cream on your face, groin, or underarms unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

The common side effects of Aristocort C cream (triamcinolone topical) may include:

• Skin irritation
• Itching
• Redness
• Dryness
• Burning or stinging sensation at the application site

Serious side effects of Aristocort C cream are rare but may include:

• Allergic reactions, such as rash, itching, swelling (especially of the face, tongue, or throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical help immediately.

Discuss any allergies to triamcinolone or other corticosteroids with your healthcare provider before using Aristocort R Cream.

Inform your healthcare provider about your medical history, especially:

• Poor blood circulation
• Immune system problems

Avoid using Aristocort R Cream on any area with an existing infection or sore.

Long-term or large-area use of Aristocort R Cream may weaken your body's response to physical stress.

Inform your healthcare provider about the current or recent use of Aristocort R Cream before any surgery, emergency treatment, or serious illness/injury.

Long-term use in children may cause temporary growth slowdown. Regular healthcare provider visits are recommended to monitor height.

Pregnancy: Discuss the risks and benefits of using Aristocort R Cream with your healthcare provider if you are pregnant.

Breastfeeding: Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding as it is unknown if the medication passes into breast milk when applied to the skin.
