Aceon (perindopril) is indicated for the following:
Treatment of High Blood Pressure (Hypertension): Aceon is used to treat high blood pressure and can be used alone or given with other classes of antihypertensives, especially thiazide diuretics.
Reduction of Risk of Cardiovascular Mortality or Heart Attack: Aceon is indicated for the treatment of patients with stable coronary artery disease to reduce the risk of cardiovascular mortality or nonfatal myocardial infarction. It can be used with conventional treatment for the management of coronary artery disease, such as antiplatelet, antihypertensive, or lipid-lowering therapy.

Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before starting Aceon and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your healthcare provider for clarification.
Take Aceon by mouth as directed by your healthcare provider, usually once or twice daily. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
Your healthcare provider may recommend starting this medication at a low dose and gradually increasing your dose to reduce the risk of side effects. Follow their instructions carefully.
Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time(s) each day.
Keep taking this medication even if you feel well, as most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick. It may take several weeks before you get the full benefit of this drug.
Inform your healthcare provider if your condition does not improve or if it worsens, such as if your blood pressure readings remain high or increase.
