Virt-Gard RX (Folic Acid/Vitamin B6/Vitamin B12)

Do’s

• Take Virt-Gard by mouth, with or without food, as directed by your healthcare provider.
• Take it at the same time each day for best results.
• If you experience stomach upset, take it with food to help ease discomfort.

Don'ts

• Don't take more Virt-Gard than prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Don't stop taking Virt-Gard without consulting your healthcare provider.
• Don't take Virt-Gard if you are allergic to any of its ingredients (folic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamin).

Common side effects of Virt-Gard Rx may include:

• Mild gastrointestinal discomfort, such as nausea or stomach upset
• Allergic reactions, such as rash or itching

Serious side effects:

• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat

Inform your healthcare provider about any allergies to Virt-Gard or other medications.

Disclose your medical history to your healthcare provider, especially regarding certain blood disorders like pernicious anemia or other anemias.

Virt-Gard may cause drowsiness. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities requiring alertness until the effects subside. Limit alcohol and discuss marijuana use with your healthcare provider.

Discuss the risks and benefits of using Virt-Gard with your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
