Mentax Cream (Butenafine)

Do’s

• Mentax Cream is for external use only. It should be applied to the skin.
• Clean and thoroughly dry the area to be treated before applying Mentax Cream.
• Apply a thin layer of the cream to and around the affected area. Gently rub it in.
• Typically, Mentax Cream is applied 1 to 2 times daily, as directed on the product package. However, follow the specific instructions provided by your healthcare provider.
• Wash your hands after using the cream, unless the area being treated includes the hands.
• The dosage and length of treatment depend on the type of infection being treated. Follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider.
• Use Mentax Cream regularly at the same time(s) each day to maximize its benefits.
• Continue using the cream until the full treatment period is finished, even if symptoms improve or disappear before that. Stopping the treatment too early may result in a return of the infection.
• Inform your healthcare provider if your condition worsens or does not improve after the treatment period. They can provide further guidance based on your specific situation.

Don’ts

• Do not apply Mentax Cream in the eyes, nose, mouth, inside the vagina, or on the scalp. If accidental contact occurs, flush the area with plenty of water.

Common Side Effects:

• Redness, itching, burning, stinging, or irritation at the site of application

Rare, Severe Side Effects:

• Allergic reactions, including rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing

Seek medical attention if severe side effects occur.

Use Mentax Cream on the face only if specifically instructed by your healthcare provider, as the skin on the face is more sensitive and prone to unwanted side effects. Avoid letting the cream come into contact with the mouth, nose, or eyes.
