Terazol 7, also known by its generic name terconazole, is indicated for the local treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis, commonly known as a yeast infection. It is effective for vulvovaginitis caused by the Candida genus, and the diagnosis should be confirmed by KOH smears and/or cultures.

Do’s

  • Before starting to use Terazol 7 Vaginal Cream, read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist. If you have any questions, consult your healthcare provider.
  • Terazol 7 Vaginal Cream is for vaginal use only. Wash your hands before and after use.
  • The dosage and length of treatment will be determined by your healthcare provider based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Typically, Terazol 7 Vaginal Cream is used once daily at bedtime for either 3 or 7 days.
  • Learn and follow all the preparation and usage instructions provided in the product package. The package will also include instructions on how to fill the applicator with the cream.
  • To administer the cream, lie on your back with your knees toward your chest. Insert the applicator into the vagina as far as it will comfortably go, and slowly press the plunger of the applicator to release the medication.
  • After use, clean the applicator with warm soapy water, rinse well, and dry it properly.
  • If you experience itching or burning around the outside of the vagina (vulva), your healthcare provider may recommend applying the cream to that area once daily and rubbing it in.
  • Continue using the medication every day until the full prescribed amount is finished, even if your symptoms improve or disappear after 1 to 2 days. Stopping the medication too early may result in a return of the infection.
  • Terazol 7 Vaginal Cream can be used during your menstrual period. Unscented sanitary napkins may be used during your menstrual period or to protect your clothing from any leakage of the medication.
  • If your condition does not improve or if it returns within 2 months, inform your healthcare provider. You may need a different or additional medication to effectively treat your condition.
