Lamisil Spray (Terbinafine)

Do’s

• Apply this medication exclusively on the skin after thoroughly cleaning and drying the affected area.
• Administer enough medication to moisten the skin on and around the affected area, typically once or twice daily as directed on the product package. 
• If prescribed by your healthcare provider, use this medication as directed and wash your hands after use, unless the treated area includes the hands.
• The appropriate dosage and treatment duration depends on the type of infection being treated.
• Consistent use of the medication is important for optimal benefits. To facilitate adherence, administer the medication at consistent times each day.
• Continue using this medication as directed until the full treatment period is completed, even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may result in a return of the infection.
• If your condition worsens or does not improve after one week of treatment, inform your healthcare provider.

Don’ts

• Avoid wrapping, covering, or bandaging the treated area unless specifically instructed by your healthcare provider.
• Refrain from using this medication in the eyes, nose, mouth, or inside the vagina. If accidental exposure occurs, flush with plenty of water.
• Do not use this medication on the face, scalp, or nails unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider.
• Do not exceed the prescribed frequency or duration of use, as this may increase the risk of experiencing side effects.

• Irritation at the application site including burning, itching, skin exfoliation, and erythematous rash 
• Headache
• Diarrhea
• Upset stomach
• Abnormal liver function tests
• Change in taste
• Nausea
• Stomach-area pain 

Allergic Reactions: 

Some individuals may experience allergic reactions to terbinafine or other components of the spray. Signs of an allergic reaction should be reported to a healthcare provider, including any unusual sensitivity to the sun that can lead to a rash.

Adverse Effects from Ingestion: 

If a larger amount of Lamisil Spray is accidentally ingested, adverse effects similar to those observed with an overdose of Lamisil tablets may be expected. These effects can include headache, nausea, epigastric pain, and dizziness.

Not everyone will experience these side effects, and many people may have no side effects or only minor ones. If you have any concerns about the side effects of Lamisil Spray, discuss them with your healthcare provider.

If you are allergic to terbinafine or any other component of Lamisil Spray, inform your healthcare provider about the allergy and any symptoms you may have experienced.

Inform your healthcare provider about all your medications (prescription or OTC), natural products, and vitamins, as well as any health problems you may have. This is to ensure that it is safe for you to use Lamisil Spray alongside your other medications and health conditions.

Lamisil Spray may interact with other drugs you are taking. Consult a healthcare provider before using this medication, especially if you are taking other medications.

Store Lamisil Spray properly and do not expose it to heat or store it at temperatures above 120°F (49°C).
