Do's

Do not take it by mouth: Gynest cream is for vaginal use only and should not be taken orally.

Avoid using excessive amounts: Use the prescribed amount of Gynest cream as directed by your healthcare provider. Using more than the recommended dose may not provide additional benefits and could increase the risk of side effects.

Do not share applicators: To prevent the spread of infections, do not share the applicator with others.

Avoid using Gynest cream if allergic: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Gynest cream, do not use it. If you experience signs of an allergic reaction, such as severe itching, rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.

Common side effects may include:

Serious side effects are rare, but they may include:

Do not use Gynest vaginal cream if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Estriol, the active ingredient in Gynest, can be harmful to an unborn baby. It can also pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing infant.

Do not use Gynest vaginal cream if you have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can be a sign of a serious condition, such as cancer. It is important to see a healthcare provider to find out the cause of your bleeding before using Gynest.

Do not use Gynest vaginal cream if you have a history of certain cancers. Estrogen can stimulate the growth of some types of cancer, such as breast cancer and endometrial cancer. If you have a history of these cancers, you should not use Gynest.

Tell your healthcare provider about all of your medical conditions before using Gynest vaginal cream. This includes any allergies you have, as well as any other medications you are taking.

Gynest vaginal cream may interact with other medications. Be sure to tell your healthcare provider about all of the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
