Canesten 6 Day Vaginal Cream (Clotrimazole)

Do’s

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after using the applicator and cream.

Use the applicator provided to insert the cream into your vagina.

Follow the instructions that come with the package for using the applicator.

Apply the cream at night before bed, when you are most likely to be lying down for a longer period.

Use the cream for all six days, even if your symptoms improve sooner. This ensures the infection is completely treated.

Wear pantyliners if you experience leakage of the cream.

Don'ts

Do not use Canesten 6 Day Vaginal Cream if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

Do not douche while using Canesten 6 Day Vaginal Cream.

Do not have sexual intercourse while using this cream, as it can damage latex condoms and diaphragms.

Do not use tampons while using Canesten 6 Day Vaginal Cream.

Do not use Canesten 6 Day Vaginal Cream if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without consulting your healthcare provider.

Common Side Effects:

Burning or itching in the area where the cream is applied.

Irritation or redness of the skin.

Discomfort or pain in the vagina or surrounding area.

Abdominal cramps or stomach pain.

Serious Side Effects:

Allergic reactions: Although rare, some individuals may experience an allergic reaction to Canesten 6 Day Vaginal Cream. Signs of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing.

Canesten 6 Day Vaginal Cream may not be ideal if you have external vulvar itching or burning alongside the vaginal infection.

If your symptoms don't improve within a few days or worsen after using Canesten 6 Day Cream, consult a healthcare provider.

If you experience fever or a foul odor from your vagina, these could be signs of a more serious condition requiring a healthcare provider's evaluation.

While Canesten 6 Day Cream is generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider before using any medication during these times
