Do’s

• Take Androcur exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider, including dosage and frequency.
• Tell your healthcare provider about all medications you take including over-the-counter meds and herbal supplements.
• Inform your healthcare provider if you experience any side effects.
• Store Androcur according to your healthcare provider's instructions.

Don'ts

• Don't take Androcur if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Don't take Androcur if you have a history of blood clots, liver disease, or severe depression.
• Don't operate machinery or drive if Androcur affects your alertness.
• Don't consume excessive alcohol while taking Androcur.
• Don't take more Androcur than prescribed.

Common side effects of Androcur may include:

• Tiredness or fatigue
• Weight change
• Headache
• Gastrointestinal symptoms (such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea)
• Breast tenderness or enlargement (gynecomastia) in men
• Changes in libido

Serious side effects of Androcur are rare but may include:

• Hepatic toxicity (liver damage)
• Benign and malignant liver tumors, which may lead to intra-abdominal hemorrhage
• Thromboembolic events (blood clots)
• Osteoporosis (in long-term use)
• Allergic reactions

Do not take Androcur if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Androcur can harm an unborn baby or a breastfeeding infant.

Do not take Androcur if you have a history of blood clots, liver disease, or severe depression. Androcur can worsen these conditions.

Androcur may increase your risk of developing a type of brain tumor called a meningioma. The risk is especially high if you take Androcur for a long time or at high doses.

Androcur may decrease your bone mineral density. This can increase your risk of osteoporosis.

Androcur may interact with other medications you are taking. Be sure to tell your healthcare provider about all of the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medications and herbal supplements.

Androcur may cause mood swings, fatigue, and decreased libido. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own, but you should tell your healthcare provider if they bother you.
