Abilify Discmelt (Aripiprazole) is a medication used to treat certain mental/mood disorders, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Tourette's syndrome, irritability associated with autistic disorder, and in combination with other medications to treat depression. Abilify Discmelt belongs to a class of drugs called atypical antipsychotics. It is used to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain, which helps in treating mental/mood disorders.
Do’s:

Abilify Discmelt may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities requiring alertness or clear vision until effects subside. Limit alcohol and marijuana use while taking Abilify Discmelt. Abilify Discmelt may decrease sweating, increasing the risk of heatstroke. Avoid strenuous activity or hot environments, and stay hydrated in hot weather. Seek medical attention if you experience fever, confusion, headache, or dizziness that won't go away. If you have PKU, consult your healthcare provider about using Abilify Discmelt due to aspartame content. Tell your healthcare provider about all medications you take, including Abilify Discmelt, before having surgery. Older adults may be more sensitive to side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, and movement problems (tardive dyskinesia). Abilify Discmelt should only be used during pregnancy when clearly necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider. Newborns exposed to Abilify Discmelt in late pregnancy may experience withdrawal symptoms. Abilify Discmelt passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding. Do not stop taking Abilify Discmelt unless directed by your healthcare provider, even if you feel better. Discuss the risks and benefits of using Abilify Discmelt during pregnancy or breastfeeding with your healthcare provider.
