Norflex (orphenadrine citrate) is indicated as an adjunct to rest, physical therapy, and other measures for the relief of discomfort associated with acute painful musculoskeletal conditions.

Do’s

  • Take Norflex by mouth with or without food as directed by your healthcare provider.
  • Take the usual adult dose of 100 mg twice daily, in the morning and evening.
  • Take the medication with or without food.
  • Swallow the tablets whole to avoid releasing all of the drugs at once, which can increase the risk of side effects
  • Use Norflex in a solution form for injection into a vein or muscle, usually given twice a day (every 12 hours) as directed by your healthcare provider.
  • Ensure that if the medication is injected into a vein, it is given over 5 minutes while lying down.
  • Continue lying down for 5 to 10 minutes after the injection to reduce dizziness and lightheadedness.
  • Follow all directions on the prescription label.
  • Inform your healthcare provider if the condition does not improve or worsens.

  • Do not take Norflex in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
