Do's

• Administer monthly: Give your dog the appropriate dosage of Heartgard Plus Green chewable tablet once a month to ensure continuous protection against heartworm disease.
• Give with or after a meal: Heartgard Plus can be given with or after a meal to help with digestion and absorption.

Don'ts

• Do not skip doses: give your dog Heartgard Plus Green every month, year-round. Skipping doses may leave your dog unprotected and at risk of heartworm infection.
• Do not give to dogs younger than 6 weeks: Heartgard Plus Green is intended for dogs aged 6 weeks and older. Do not administer to puppies younger than 6 weeks of age.
• Do not give to dogs outside the weight range: Heartgard Plus Green is specifically formulated for dogs weighing between 26-50 lbs. Make sure to select the appropriate dosage based on your dog's weight.
• Do not give to other animals: Heartgard Plus Green is formulated for dogs and should not be used in other animals unless specifically prescribed by a veterinarian.

Common side effects:

• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Upset stomach
• Lethargy
• Decreased appetite

Serious side effects are rare but may include:

• Allergic reactions (rare)
• Tremors
• Seizures
• Slowed heart rate
• Foaming at the mouth
• Onset blindness (rare)

The initial dose must be given within a month (30 days) after the dog's first exposure to mosquitoes

Following the use of Heartgard Plus, digestive and neurological side effects have rarely been reported. These may include depression/lethargy, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea, mydriasis, ataxia, staggering, convulsions, and hypersalivation

Heartgard Plus should be kept out of reach of children and animals
