Diamicron (Gliclazide)

Do’s

• The typical daily dose of Diamicron ranges from 80 mg to 320 mg. If the daily dose exceeds 160 mg, it should be divided into two equally divided doses. The daily dose should not exceed 320 mg.
• Diamicron should be taken orally, preferably with meals.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. 
• Store this medication at room temperature, protect it from light and moisture, and keep it out of the reach of children.
• Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider

Don’ts

• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
• If your healthcare provider recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting them.

• Vision changes, especially at the start of treatment
• Stomach ache or indigestion
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Constipation

If you experience any of these side effects or do not feel well while taking Diamicron, inform your healthcare provider as soon as possible.
