Canesten 3 Day Vaginal Combipak (Clotrimazole)

Do’s

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after using the applicator and cream.
• Use the applicator provided to insert the vaginal tablet high into your vagina, following the instructions in the package.
• Apply a thin layer of the external cream to the itchy and irritated vulvar area (the outer part of your genitals) using a clean finger. Apply at night before bed for three days in a row.
• Wear pantyliners if you experience leakage of the cream.

Don'ts

• Do not use Canesten 3 Day Vaginal Combi-Pak if you are allergic to clotrimazole (the active ingredient).
• Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without consulting your healthcare provider.
• Do not exceed the recommended three-day treatment.
• Do not douche while using Canesten 3 Day Vaginal Combi-Pak. Douching can disrupt the natural balance of yeast in your vagina.
• Do not have sexual intercourse while using this cream, as it can damage latex condoms and diaphragms.
• Do not use tampons while using Canesten 3 Day Vaginal Combi-Pak.

Common Side Effects:

• Burning or itching in the area where the cream is applied.
• Irritation or redness of the skin.
• Discomfort or pain in the vagina or surrounding area.
• Abdominal cramps or stomach pain.
• Vaginal/urethral burning/itching/pain or lower abdominal cramps may occur. If any of these effects last or worsen, tell your healthcare provider promptly.

Serious Side Effects:

• Although rare, some individuals may experience an allergic reaction to Canesten 3 Day Vaginal Combipak. Signs of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing. 

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Canesten 3 day vaginal combipak, contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Inform your healthcare provider if you have allergies to clotrimazole (antifungal ingredient) or any ingredients in the Canesten 3 Day Vaginal CombiPak.

Discuss about medical History (Discuss with your healthcare provider if you have):

• Frequent vaginal infections (might indicate an underlying condition)
• Uncontrolled diabetes (can worsen yeast infections)
• Weakened immune system (increases risk of infection)
• Never had a yeast infection before (might require diagnosis by healthcare provider)

Avoid using tampons, douches, or spermicides while using Canesten 3 Day CombiPak. These products can reduce the effectiveness of the medication.

Canesten 3 Day CombiPak may reduce the effectiveness and safety of latex condoms and diaphragms. This effect is temporary and occurs only during treatment.

Do not apply Canesten 3 Day CombiPak to your eyes, mouth, or other areas.

If you experience redness, stinging, or burning after using the suppository or cream, stop using them and consult your healthcare provider.

Keep out of reach of children.

While generally considered safe, consult your healthcare provider before using Canesten 3 Day CombiPak if pregnant or breastfeeding.
