Do's
  • Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your healthcare provider, usually once daily. The dosage is based on your medical condition, response to treatment, age, and other medications you may be taking. To reduce your risk of side effects, your healthcare provider may direct you to start this medication at a low dose and gradually increase your dose. Follow your healthcare provider's instructions carefully during this process.
  • The manufacturer directs to swallow this medication whole. However, many similar drugs (immediate-release tablets) can be split/crushed. Follow your healthcare provider's direction on how to take this medication.
  • If you are using the liquid form of this medication, carefully measure the dose using a special measuring device/cup.
  • Keep taking this medication even if you feel well.
  • Always consult your healthcare provider for specific instructions tailored to your individual needs.
