Pred Mild Eyedrops (Prednisolone)

Do’s

• Wash hands before using.
• Shake the bottle well if it's a suspension (not solution).
• Tilt head back, look up, and pull down your lower eyelid to create a pouch.
• Apply one drop into the pouch.
• Close your eyes gently for 1-2 minutes and press the corner near your nose to prevent drainage.
• Avoid blinking or rubbing your eye.
• Repeat for the other eye if instructed.
• Use at the same times each day.
• Continue using the medication for the full prescribed time, even if symptoms improve.
• Inform your healthcare provider if your condition worsens or doesn't improve after 2 days.

Don'ts

• Don't touch the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface.
• Don't wear contact lenses while using the medication unless your healthcare provider approves. If approved, remove lenses before application and wait 15 minutes after each dose to put them back in.
• Don't rinse the dropper.
• Don't rise with other eye medications within 5-10 minutes unless your healthcare provider instructs otherwise. Use eye drops before ointments.
• or operate machinery until your vision clears.
• Don't use the medication for longer than prescribed or if it becomes discolored.
• Don't stop using the medication abruptly without consulting your healthcare provider.

Common side effects of Pred Mild eye drops may include:

• Mild stinging, burning, or irritation in the eyes
• Blurred vision
• Watery eyes
• Sensitivity to light
• Dry or itchy eyes
• Redness or swelling of the eyelids

Serious side effects:

• Severe eye pain or discomfort
• Vision changes or loss

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Pred mild eye drops, contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Inform your healthcare provider about any allergies to prednisolone, other medications, or sulfites (present in some brands).

Disclose your medical history to your healthcare provider, especially regarding eye infections, recent eye surgery, cataracts, glaucoma, severe nearsightedness, or diabetes.

Pred Mild may cause temporary blurred or unstable vision. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities requiring clear vision until your vision returns to normal.

Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you use, including Pred Mild, before any surgery.

If you develop a new eye infection, injury, or require eye surgery, consult your healthcare provider about continuing with your current bottle or starting a new one.

Discuss the risks and benefits of using Pred Mild with your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
