Latisse used to treat patients with not enough or inadequate eyelashes.

The active ingredient is bimatoprost, which works by increasing the number of eyelashes and making them longer, thicker, and darker. It is similar to a natural substance in your body.

If you already use bimatoprost for glaucoma, be extremely cautious to avoid getting Latisse in your eyes. This can interfere with your glaucoma medication. Consult your healthcare provider for further instructions.

Do's

  • Use Latisse Drops as directed by your healthcare provider, typically once daily in the evening.
  • Wash your hands and face before applying the medication.
  • Remove makeup and contact lenses before applying Latisse Drops (reinsert them after 15 minutes).
  • Place one drop on the provided applicator and gently draw it along the upper eyelid margin from the inner to the outer lash line.
  • Blot any excess solution.
  • Use a new applicator for the other eye.
  • Wait for up to 2 months to see full results.
  • If experiencing uneven results between eyes (length, thickness, etc.), talk to your healthcare provider.

Don'ts

  • Don't use Latisse Drops on the lower eyelids.
  • Do not rinse if the medication gets in your eyes as it's the same medication used for glaucoma in the eyes.
  • Don't touch the dropper tip to your eyelashes or any other surface.
  • Don't rinse the dropper or use more than the recommended dose.
  • Don't stop treatment abruptly as it will cause eyelashes to return to their pre-treatment appearance.

Common Side effects

  • Eye redness or itching
  • Increased sensitivity to light

Serious Side effects

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking  latisse,  contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Inform your healthcare provider of your medical history, particularly if you have:

  • Eye pressure problems (glaucoma)
