Do’s

• Diane 35 Tablet is typically taken in 28-day cycles. Take 1 tablet daily for 21 days, followed by a 7-day interval without medication (i.e., 3 weeks on, 1 week off).
• Take the tablets at the same time each day to ensure consistent levels of the medicine in your body.
• Treatment is usually started on the first day of menstrual bleeding. Improvement may require several months of treatment, and once acne has resolved, the medication is usually continued for another 3 or 4 cycles before being stopped. It may be restarted if acne returns
• If spotting or breakthrough bleeding occurs during the 3 weeks of medication intake, continue taking the medication. If bleeding persists or lasts a long time, contact your healthcare provider.
• If a dose is missed and remembered within 12 hours, take the missed dose. If more than 12 hours have passed, discard the missed tablet and continue with the remaining tablets at the usual time. An additional non-hormonal method of birth control should be used until the pack is empty.

Don’ts

• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
• If the menstrual period fails to occur during the 7-day tablet-free interval, do not start the next medication cycle and contact your healthcare provider.
