Aklief Cream is a prescription medicine used topically to treat acne vulgaris in people 9 years of age and older. It may decrease the number and severity of acne pimples and speed up the healing of pimples that do develop.

Aklief Cream contains the retinoid molecule trifarotene, which belongs to a class of medications called retinoids. Trifarotene works by affecting the growth of cells, decreasing swelling, and reducing inflammation.

Do’s

  • Use Aklief Cream exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider, typically once daily in the evening.
  • Cleanse the affected area with a mild or soapless cleanser and pat dry before applying.
  • Wash your hands before and after using the cream.
  • Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected areas only.
  • Use a moisturizer regularly to minimize skin irritation, especially when starting Aklief Cream.
  • Use Aklief Cream consistently for maximum benefit. Apply it at the same time each day.
  • Inform your healthcare provider if your acne doesn't improve or worsens.
