Do's

• Read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before starting Amaryl and with each refill. 
• Ask your healthcare provider if you have any questions. 
• Take this medication by mouth with breakfast or the first main meal of the day, as directed by your healthcare provider, usually once daily. 
• Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. 
• Take it at the same time each day to help you remember. 
• Follow your healthcare provider’s directions carefully to stop the old diabetes drug and start Amaryl if you are already taking another diabetes drug. 
• Start Amaryl at a low dose and gradually increase it as directed by your healthcare provider to reduce the risk of side effects. 
• Adjust the dose as per your healthcare provider’s advice after taking the medication for some time. 
• Consult your healthcare provider for instructions on what to do if you miss a dose. 

Don'ts

• Don't adjust your dosage of Amaryl without consulting your healthcare provider. 

The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. 

Common Side Effects:

• Nausea
• Dizziness
• Asthenia (weakness)
• Headache
• Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

Serious Side Effects:

• Hemolytic anemia
• Hypoglycemia
