Indication: Levaquin (Levofloxacin) a medication used to treat bacterial infections that affect the kidneys, bladder, prostate, skin, and sinuses. Levaquin (Levofloxacin) is an antibiotic called fluoroquinolones. This drug can also treat infections from bacteria that cause bronchitis or pneumonia or people who have been exposed to anthrax.
Storage: Levaquin (Levofloxacin) should be stored away from moisture and heat at room temperature.
Precautions: It is possible that you are taking certain medication that cannot be taken at the same time as Levaquin (Levofloxacin), avoid taking other medication within 2 hours of taking Levaquin (Levofloxacin). The following medication can make Levaquin (Levofloxacin) less effective: antacids that contain magnesium or aluminum (such as Maalox, Mylanta, or Rolaids); the ulcer medicine sucralfate (Carafate); didanosine (Videx) powder or chewable tablets; or vitamin or mineral supplements that contain iron or zinc.
