Tindamax (tinidazole) is indicated for the following conditions and purposes:

  1. Trichomoniasis: Tindamax is used for the treatment of trichomoniasis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. The organism needs to be identified by appropriate diagnostic procedures. Additionally, partners of infected patients should be treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection.
  2. Bacterial Vaginosis: Tindamax is used to treat bacterial vaginosis, a condition where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted.

Tindamax should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria. It is not effective for treating viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
