Do’s

• Before starting Pancrease MT 16, read the Medication Guide provided by your healthcare provider. You should also consult them if you have any questions or concerns.
• Take the medication with meals and snacks as directed by your healthcare provider. Swallow the capsule whole.
• Drink plenty of fluids while taking Pancrease MT 16, unless your healthcare provider advises otherwise.
• If you have difficulty swallowing the capsule, you may open it and mix the contents with a small amount of liquid or soft food that does not require chewing (such as room-temperature applesauce). 
• After mixing the medication, swallow the food or liquid immediately, ensuring that you do not chew the medication. Follow it with a glass of water or juice to ensure all the medication is swallowed. 
• The dosage of Pancrease MT 16 is determined by your medical condition, diet, weight, and response to treatment. Take the medication as prescribed by your healthcare provider 
• Use Pancrease MT 16 regularly to obtain the maximum benefit. Take it with every meal or snack as recommended. 
• If your healthcare provider has prescribed a special diet, follow it closely in order to derive the most benefit from Pancrease MT 16.
• If your condition does not improve or worsens, inform your healthcare provider.

Don’ts

• Do not crush or chew the capsule, as this can irritate your mouth and affect the medication's effectiveness.
• Do not mix the capsule’s content with alkaline foods or liquids like milk, ice cream, or tea. Consult your healthcare provider for more information on which foods or liquids to avoid when mixing.
• Do not save the mixture for later use.
• Do not take more capsules in a day than instructed
• Do not change the brand or dosage form of pancrelipase (the active ingredient in Pancrease MT 16) without consulting your healthcare provider, as different products may contain varying amounts of digestive enzymes.

Common Side Effects:

• Gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain 

Serious Side Effects:

• Serious allergic reactions to Pancrease MT 16 are rare but can occur. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience signs of an allergic reaction, such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Not all individuals will experience these side effects, and some may experience different or additional side effects. If you have any concerns or questions about the side effects of Pancrease MT 16, consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice.

Inform your healthcare provider about your medical history, especially if you have experienced sudden/severe swelling of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis), sudden worsening of long-term pancreatic disease, gout, kidney disease, high uric acid levels in the blood (hyperuricemia), or intestinal problems such as blockage.

Pancrease MT 16 may interact with other medications you are taking. Consult with your healthcare provider to ensure there are no potential interactions between Pancrease MT 16 and other drugs you are using.

In rare cases, individuals with a known allergy to pancrelipase (the active ingredient in Pancrease MT 16) may experience mild allergic reactions, such as red, blotchy facial rash, and itching. If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, discontinue use and seek medical attention.
