FML Forte (Fluoromethalone)

Do's

• Wash your hands thoroughly before using the medication.
• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• Tilt your head back, look up, and pull down your lower eyelid to create a pouch for the medication.
• Apply the prescribed number of drops into the pouch.
• Close your eyes gently for 1-2 minutes and apply pressure at the corner of your eye near the nose to prevent drainage.
• Use the medication regularly at the same times each day for maximum benefit.
• Continue using the medication for the full prescribed duration, even if your symptoms improve.
• Contact your healthcare provider if your condition worsens or does not improve after 2 days of use.

Don'ts

• Don't touch the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination.
• Don't wear contact lenses while using FML Forte Suspension unless your healthcare provider specifically approves it.
• Don't rinse the dropper after use.
• Don't use FML Forte Suspension if it becomes contaminated (discolored).
• Don't stop using the medication without consulting your healthcare provider.
• Don't use more medication or for longer than prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Don't drive or operate machinery until your vision clears after using the drops.

Common Side Effects:

• Mild stinging or burning in the eyes
• Feeling like something is in the eye
• Red or puffy eyelids
• Blurred vision
• Drooping eyelids

Serious Side Effects:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing
• Sensitivity to light
• Symptoms of eye infection, such as eye discharge/swelling/redness, or vision problems

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Fml forte,  contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Tell about any allergies you have to FML Forte or other medications, including any inactive ingredients that might cause a reaction.

Tell your healthcare provider about your medical history, especially if you have eye infections, recently had eye surgery, cataracts, glaucoma, severe nearsightedness, or diabetes.

Be aware of temporary blurred vision after applying the drops. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities requiring clear vision until your vision returns to normal.

Inform your healthcare provider or dentist about all medications you take (prescription, non-prescription, and herbal) before any surgery or dental procedures.

Consult your healthcare provider if you develop a new eye infection, injury, or require eye surgery. They will advise you on whether to continue using your current bottle of FML Forte or start a new one.

FML Forte should only be used during pregnancy if absolutely necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider before using it.

Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding as it is unknown if FML Forte passes into breast milk.

FML Forte can interact with other medications. Provide your healthcare provider with a complete list of all medications you take (prescription, non-prescription, and herbal) to avoid potential complications.

Never adjust the dosage of any medication without consulting your healthcare provider first.
