Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint (Sodium Fluoride)

Do's

• Use Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint toothpaste as directed by your healthcare provider. Follow the recommended dosage and frequency of use.
• Apply at least a 1-inch strip of Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint toothpaste onto a soft-bristle toothbrush.
• Brush your teeth thoroughly for at least 1 minute, making sure to brush all sensitive areas of the teeth.
• Expectorate (spit out) the toothpaste after brushing, and rinse your mouth thoroughly.
• Use Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint toothpaste twice a day, in the morning and evening, or as recommended by your healthcare provider.
• Continue to follow good oral hygiene practices, including regular brushing and flossing, in addition to using Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint toothpaste.

Don'ts

• Do not swallow the toothpaste. It is meant for topical use on your teeth and should not be ingested.
• Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after using Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint toothpaste to allow the fluoride to work effectively.
• Do not use more toothpaste than recommended by your healthcare provider.
• If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while using Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint toothpaste, such as an allergic reaction or irritation, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider.

Common Side Effects:

• Upset stomach
• Headaches
• Weakness

Serious Side Effects:

• Allergic reactions to fluoride topical, although rare, can occur. Signs of a serious allergic reaction may include difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, and hives. Immediate medical attention is necessary if these symptoms occur.
• Overdosing on fluoride may cause serious problems. Symptoms of an overdose may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, burning in the mouth, sore tongue, severe stomach cramps, and coughing up blood. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical help immediately

Tell your healthcare provider If you are allergic to Prevident 5000 Sensitive (sodium fluoride and potassium nitrate), any of its ingredients, or any other drugs, foods, or substances. 

Inform your healthcare provider and pharmacist about all the medications you are taking, including prescription, over-the-counter, natural products, and vitamins. They can help determine if there are any potential interactions between Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint and your other medications.

Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint should not be swallowed in large amounts. If a large amount of the toothpaste is swallowed, seek medical attention or contact a poison control center immediately.

Prevident Sensitive Mild Mint can be used by children 12 years of age and older. However, children may be more sensitive to the side effects of the medication, especially if it is swallowed. Closely supervise children to ensure they do not swallow the toothpaste.
