Muro 128 Ointment (Sodium Chloride Ointment - non Rx)

Indication : Muro 128 Ointment is a hypertonic salt solution that treats the swelling of the cornea. Muro 128 Ointment works by taking water out of the cornea in order to decrease the swelling. Storage : Make sure you store Muro 128 Ointment at about room temperature or between 59-86ºF. Store in a closed container and keep the medication away from heat, moisture, and light. Store away from children and pets. Product Information : General Information : Precaution : Because Muro 128 Ointment may cause blurred vision, avoid driving, operating machinery, or anything else that could be dangerous without proper eyesight. Do not swallow Muro 128 Ointment as it may be harmful when taken this way. Call poison control if you accidentally swallow the medication. Warnings : Do not use if the medication changes color or becomes cloudy. Do not do anything considered dangerous without proper vision as Muro 128 Ointment may cause blurred vision. Never take more than one dose at a time. Do not swallow Muro 128 Ointment because it may be harmful to your body. Discuss the effects of taking Muro 128 Ointment while pregnant or breastfeeding with your doctor. Patient Family Information: Take Muro 128 Ointment as directed by your doctor. Always remember to wash your hands thoroughly before use. Pull the lower eyelid away from the surface of the eye to form a pocket. Apply a thin strip of the medication into the pocket and close your eyes. Keep your eyes closed for roughly 1-2 minutes. Wipe the tip of the applicator with a clean dry tissue and make sure the tip does not touch any other surface. Wash your hands once more after application to get rid of any residue left from the medication. Contraindication : Do not use Muro 128 Ointment if there is a change in color or the medication becomes cloudy. Discuss the use of Muro 128 Ointment with your doctor if you are/become pregnant or are breastfeeding. Sever Side Effects: Obtain medical attention immediately if any of the following severe side effects occur: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); changes in vision; continued redness, burning, or irritation; eye pain; feeling that something is in the eye.
