Cosopt Preservative-Free (Dorzolamide/Timolol)

Please read the instructions before using Cosopt PF (dorzolamide hydrochloride-timolol maleate ophthalmic solution) 2%/0.5%.

Follow your doctor's prescription exactly. Use 1 drop of Cosopt PF (dorzolamide/timolol) in the affected eye(s) in the morning and 1 drop in the evening.

If you use other eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes before applying Cosopt PF. Each single-use container is sterile and should be used immediately after opening.

Do not save leftover solution after using a single-use container. Discard it right away to avoid contamination, which could lead to eye infections.

What are the ingredients in Cosopt PF?

Active ingredients: dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate
Inactive ingredients: sodium citrate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, sodium hydroxide, mannitol, and water for
injection.

Common side effects: Cosopt PF (dorzolamide/timolol) may cause a bitter or unusual taste after use. It may also cause burning, stinging, redness, or itching in the eye. Some people experience blurred vision, eye pain, or increased sensitivity due to superficial punctate keratitis.

Serious side effects: Cosopt PF may cause severe breathing problems, especially in people with asthma, COPD, or heart failure. It can also lead to heart failure, with symptoms like shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, swelling in the feet or ankles, or sudden weight gain. Severe allergic reactions may occur, causing swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, trouble breathing, wheezing, dizziness, or a fast heartbeat. It may also worsen muscle weakness in people with myasthenia gravis and affect kidney function. Some users may experience eye swelling (corneal edema).

Tell your doctor if you develop an eye injury, infection, sudden vision loss, or swelling and redness around the eye. Report any bothersome side effects.

Before you take Cosopt PF (dorzolamide/timolol), tell your healthcare provider if you:

• have muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis)
• have diabetes or low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
• have thyroid, kidney, or liver problems
• plan to have surgery
• are allergic to sulfa drugs
• have or have had eye problems, including prior eye surgery or use of other eye medicine
• have any other medical conditions
• are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is not known if Cosopt PF will harm your baby.
• are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Dorzolamide's effects in breast milk are unknown, but timolol has been found in breast milk.

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Cosopt PF may interact with other medications, causing side effects or affecting how they work. Keep a list of all your medicines and share it with your doctor and pharmacist when starting a new medication.

How should I store Cosopt PF?

Store Cosopt PF at room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C). Do not freeze. Keep the Cosopt PF single-use containers in their original foil pouch to protect from light. Write down the date you open the foil pouch in the space provided on the pouch. Throw away all unused Cosopt PF single-use containers 15 days after first opening the pouch.
