Follow your doctor's prescription exactly. Clenpiq Oral Solution comes ready to drink and does not need mixing. It is a clear liquid that may contain particles.

Each bottle of Clenpiq Oral Solution is one dose. You need two doses for a complete colon cleanse. Take Clenpiq Oral Solution using the Split-Dose method as instructed.

Starting one day before your colonoscopy, drink only clear liquids until 2 hours before the procedure. Stop all fluids at least 2 hours before your colonoscopy. If you feel bloated or have an upset stomach after the first dose, wait until you feel better before taking the second dose.

Take oral medications at least 1 hour before each Clenpiq dose. Do not take other laxatives, eat solid foods, drink milk, consume alcohol, or have red or purple-colored liquids while using Clenpiq Oral Solution.

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe vomiting, dehydration, confusion, fainting, or seizures.

What are the ingredients in Clenpiq Oral Solution?

Active ingredients: sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and anhydrous citric acid.
Inactive ingredients: acesulfame potassium, cranberry flavor, disodium edetate, malic acid, sodium benzoate, sodium hydroxide, sodium metabisulfite, sucralose, and water. The cranberry flavor contains glyceryl triacetate (triacetin), maltodextrin, and sodium octenyl succinated starch.

Common side effects: Clenpiq Oral Solution may cause nausea, dizziness, dehydration, headache, abdominal pain, and high magnesium levels in the blood.

Serious side effects: Clenpiq Oral Solution can lead to bowel ulcers, digestive issues, and changes in blood test results. Your doctor may check your blood after use. Seek medical attention if you experience severe vomiting, nausea, bloating, dizziness, stomach pain, reduced urination, trouble swallowing or drinking liquids, fainting, seizures, or heart problems.

Before you take Clenpiq Oral Solution, tell your healthcare provider if you:

• have serious kidney problems.
• have a bowel obstruction or perforation.
• have toxic megacolon or gastric retention.
• are allergic to any Clenpiq ingredients.
• have a history of dehydration or electrolyte imbalances.
• have had seizures or take seizure medication.
• have fainting episodes or low sodium levels.
• are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines.
• have kidney, heart, stomach, or bowel problems.
• have trouble swallowing or gastric reflux.
• are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Tell your healthcare provider about all medicines you take, including prescription, nonprescription, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Clenpiq may affect how some medicines work. Take these medicines at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after Clenpiq:

• tetracycline or fluoroquinolone antibiotics
• iron supplements
• digoxin (Lanoxin)
• chlorpromazine
• penicillamine (Cuprimine, Depen)

Do not take other laxatives while using Clenpiq. Keep a list of all your medications and share it with your doctor or pharmacist.

How should I store Clenpiq Oral Solution?

• Store Clenpiq at room temperature, between 68° to 77°F (20° to 25°C).
• Do not put Clenpiq in the refrigerator or freezer.
• Keep Clenpiq and all medicines out of the reach of children.
