Do’s

• Use exactly as directed by your healthcare provider. This includes frequency (puffs per session, total inhales per day), duration of use, and any specific instructions for using the inhaler.
• Read and follow all the instructions that come with your Nicorette inhaler.
• Prime the inhaler if required by the manufacturer's instructions (usually done before first use).
• Inhale slowly and deeply through the mouthpiece when using the inhaler.
• Hold your breath for a few seconds after inhaling to allow nicotine to be absorbed.
• Allow sufficient time between puffs (refer to product instructions).
• Track your progress in quitting smoking and celebrate milestones.
• Consider using a support group or quitting smoking program for additional help.

Don'ts

• Don't exceed the recommended dosage of puffs per session or total daily inhales.
• Don't use the inhaler if you are not trying to quit smoking. Nicorette contains nicotine, which is addictive.
• Don't use the inhaler if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Nicotine can harm your baby.
• Don't swallow the nicotine cartridge or mouthpiece.
• Don't share your inhaler with others.
• Don't use the inhaler after the expiration date.

Common side effects:

• Mouth and throat irritation
• Cough
• Hiccups
• Runny nose
• Headache
• Upset stomach

Serious side effects that may require immediate medical attention include:

• Blurred vision
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Nervousness
• Pounding in the ears
• Fast or irregular heartbeat
• Hives, itching, rash, redness, or swelling of the skin
• Symptoms of nicotine overdose: confusion, diarrhea, upset stomach, vomiting, drooling, cold sweat, weakness, blurred vision, hearing problems

Individuals who have experienced a heart attack in the last two weeks, have a serious heart rhythm problem or are experiencing severe or worsening angina should consult a healthcare provider before using the inhaler.

Caution is advised for individuals with asthma, chronic lung disease, or any other respiratory conditions. Consulting a healthcare provider before using the inhaler is recommended.

Individuals who could be pregnant or are breastfeeding should seek medical advice before using the Nicorette Inhaler.

The inhaler is not recommended for individuals under 18 years old.

Keep all parts of the nicotine inhaler and used and unused nicotine cartridges out of the reach of children and pets. Proper disposal of used and unused cartridges is essential.

Nicorette Inhaler should be used with a firm commitment to quitting smoking. It is important to stop smoking as soon as the inhaler is started and to refrain from using any other tobacco products during its use.
