Indication : Habitrol is a non prescription nicotine patch that is used to help people quit smoking by reducing nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Storage : Habitrol patches should be stored at room temperature, in an area that is protected from moisture, heat and sunlight. Product Information : General Information : Precaution : Before using Habitrol, notify your doctor if any of the following apply to you: heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure or chest pain; a jaw condition called TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disease; an overactive thyroid; diabetes; pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal gland); liver or kidney disease; a stomach ulcer; or asthma or chronic pulmonary disease. Talk to your doctor about which form of nicotine treatment is right for you. Warnings : Do not smoke while using Habitrol, as smoking while using nicotine patches can be extremely dangerous. If you need to take a magnetic resonance imaging test (MRI), remove the patch beforehand, as a transdermal patch may burn your skin if worn throughout an MRI. Patient Family Information: When using the Habitrol nicotine patches, follow the packaged directions carefully for safe and effective use. When placing Habitrol patches choose a different place on your body each time and do not use the same skin area twice in seven days.
