Drug Description : Trojan condoms, usually made of latex, are used as a contraceptive to avoid pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted disease including syphilis, gonorrhea, and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).This medication should be stored at room temperature. Keep the medication in an upright position and away from heat, moisture, and from freezing. Make sure the bottle is tightly closed. Dispose the medication if it is outdated or is no longer needed.Read the directions on the label. Both partners should know how to put on a condom properly for better pleasure, effectiveness, and ease. A condom should only be used once for each erection, do not reuse condoms. Before the penis touches the rectum, vulva, or mouth, it is important to put on the condom because penises leak fluids before and after ejaculation that can carry STDs and/or cause pregnancy. Open the condom package carefully to ensure the condom does not tear. If the package is already torn, brittle, sticky, or stiff, do not use it. Before putting the condom on the penis, drop some lubricant inside the condom and pull back the foreskin of an uncircumcised penis. With one hand, pinch the air out of the tip of the condom and place it over the tip of an erect penis. This will leave half an inch (1 cm) of space at the tip to collect semen. With one hand still holding on the tip of the condom on the top of an erect penis, use the other hand and unroll the condom all the way to the base of the penis. Lubricate the outside of the condom and smooth out any air bubbles that can cause the condom to break. After intercourse, remove the penis from the rectum, vagina, or mouth before it becomes soft. To prevent semen from leaking or spilling out, hold the condom at the base of the penis while pulling out. Dispose the condom in the garbage can.
